Meeting for the Research of Plant Virus Disease (MRPVD) is a substructure of the Korean Society of Plant Pathology.  MRPVD was established in 1993 by Professor Dr. Jang Kyung Choi, Professor Dr. Moo Ung Jang and their colleagues.  The objective and function of the organization is to promote studies on plant virus diseases for young plant virologists in Korea.

MRPVD annual meeting is held in during summer vacation.  In the meeting, specific subjects for plant virology are presented and discussed with symposium, workshop, and virus collection. 

MRPVD published Plant Virology Protocol (in Korean) in 2001 authored by members of MRPVD.

The biannual International Symposia have been held during the MRPVD annual meeting together with the Plant Virus Disease Workshop (PVDW) which is a substructure of the Phytopathological Society of Japan (PSJ).   The 1st joint meeting was held in Alpine Experiment Station, Pyung Chang in Korea on August 9 to 10 in 2001.   You can watch computer-generated movies of some subjects presented in the recent MRPVD-PVDW Joint Symposium in our website.  Please visit the MRPVD Board by clicking the MRPVD NOTICE BOARD icon.
