Ki Hyun Ryu received his Ph. D. from Korea University in 1996 and he majored in Plant Virology. He joined with Professor Dr. Peter Palukaitis as a Post-doc at Cornell University working on Movement protein function of Cucumber mosaic virus. Ryu is currently an Director of Plant Virus GenBank and Professor in Division of Environmental & Life Sciences at Seoul Women's University where his main interest is the molecular mechanism of plant-virus interactions for virus evolution & resistance and development of plant virus vector system.
